- It is a multirole combat aircraft designed for air superiority, bombing, intercepting,ground attack, strike and other types of roles.
- It is not declared which weapons AMCA will carry but it guessed that AMCA can Astra, Astra mk2, Brahmos NG, Brahmos-2 etc. will be carried along with various other missiles.
- It combines super cruise, stealth, advanced AESA radar, super maneuverability and advanced.being 5th generation.
- AMCA is a twin engined aircraft which can be powered two GTRE K 9 + or K 10 engine.Full scale development of the K 9 and K 10 engine would be completed by 2019.K9 + and K 10 engines are designed to supercruise with a speed of Mach 1.82 with both engines.
- This aircraft is projected to have a maximum speed of over Mach 2.5, with a maximum takeoff weight of 60,000 lb (29,000 kg).
- The AMCA’s cockpit features a panoramic active-matrix display, with the switches, bezels and keypads replace with a single large multi functional touch screen and interface supported by voice commands
